Artful Haven

"Sometimes all it takes is one new project to spark a whole new passion."

Hi ,

First, a very warm welcome to everyone who is new to Artful Haven! 🌸 I’m so happy you’re here.

And if you’ve been with me for a while, you may have noticed that I’ve been a little quiet lately.

There’s a good reason for that. ❤️

Every summer, I move to Italy with my family and spend a few months in a little tiny town. Life here slows down in the best possible way. I get to catch up with family and friends, spend time outdoors, enjoy long meals together, and recharge creatively.

It really is a tiny town, so tiny that I don’t even have reliable internet coverage everywhere! 😂 So if I’ve seemed a little quieter than usual, now you know why.

But I haven’t stopped creating.

In fact, I have something really fun to share with you!

I’m one of the presenters at the HobbyScool Art of Handmade Summit, a completely FREE 3-day virtual creative event happening September 15–17, 2026.

And I’ll be teaching one of my favorite workshops:

One Portrait, Three Artworks — No Drawing Needed! 🎨

Yes… you read that correctly.

We’re going to take ONE reference photo and turn it into THREE completely different pieces of art.

And the best part?

You don’t need to know how to draw.

If you’ve ever looked at a portrait and thought, “I could never draw that,” this workshop is especially for you.

You’ll be surprised by how easy it can be.

I’ll also be sharing some of the little tips, tricks, and shortcuts I’ve learned over the years, the things that make creating art easier, less intimidating, and much more fun.

And my workshop is just one part of the summit.

There will be dozens of wonderful makers teaching everything from paper and botanical crafts to embroidery, fiber art, polymer clay, macramé, woodworking, and so much more.

It’s three days of pure creativity!

And it’s completely FREE to join.

I would absolutely LOVE to have some of my Artful Haven friends there with me. 🌸

Pumpkins, leaves, warm glowing backgrounds… Every time I picked it up, I was sure this was the moment it would run dry. But to my surprise, it...
